Throughout May you asked Vancouver Council to vote for eight new measures to support the City’s Climate Emergency Action Plan. These measures include:
- Moving faster on climate policy, like reducing emissions from large commercial buildings.
- New funding that supports improved low-cost and reliable active transportation choices
- Speeding up processes to support residents who want to install a heat pump.
- Aligning community plans with Vancouver Plan to create more walkable neighbourhoods.
Council unanimously voted for these measures. Thank you. When we raise our voices it makes a difference in helping solve the climate crisis.
