Erin Roger

Expertise: Expertise spans a wide range of conservation issues, including ecological modelling, climate change adaptation, biodiversity data management, invasive species, Indigenous ecological knowledge, and community science.

Credentials: PhD in ecology, a graduate certificate in strategic communication and a BScH in biology. She is a Churchill Fellow and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Erin has published more than 25 scientific journal articles as well as scientific books and articles in online sources such as The Conversation.

Erin held the voluntary role of chair of the Australian Citizen Science Association for five years. She has also been a judge for the Australian Eureka Scientific Prizes as well as for the Global Biodiversity Information Facility’s Ebbe Nielsen Challenge prize.

Passions: On the weekend you’ll most likely find Erin out exploring nature and recording observations on iNaturalist. Erin also enjoys ocean swimming, camping and writing books.
