Expertise: Marine conservation, coastal habitat restoration, marine spatial planning

Credentials: Tessa has a bachelor of science in honours biology from McGill University and a master of science in biology from the University of Victoria, where she specialized in coastal ecology, climate solutions and spatial modelling for kelp restoration. Prior to joining the DSF, she worked on knowledge mobilization and supporting community-building among regional kelp practitioners. She approaches her work in protected areas planning and coastal habitat restoration through collaboration by connecting science, communities and decision-makers.
