On July 5th the City of Calgary passed the Climate Strategy by a vote of 9-6. This strategy allows the city to move forward with climate action, helping the city become Net-Zero by 2050. It was a close vote. Your voice was important and was heard by council. This shows that when residents speak up, council listens. The close vote also indicates that we will need to continue to work with council to ensure the climate strategy is implemented and funded so that we can build a better Calgary.
