The historic turnouts at climate strikes throughout the country showed that people realize Canada is not doing enough to address climate change. Rapid expansion of the youth-led climate movement to include people of all ages, backgrounds and political stripes signalled that our federal government can’t ignore the need for immediate action.
Millions of people around the world are asking politicians to unite for bold action. We continue to work with you to ensure all levels of government in Canada are serious about protecting us from the climate emergency by limiting warming to 1.5 C, which the IPCC says is essential to a livable climate.
