Since 2004, Genus has sponsored events, supported the David Suzuki Fellowship program, bought our holiday cards for staff and clients and — most recently — backed our Butterflyway webinars. We hired Genus to meet our financial and sustainability goals so we could scale our activist and educational work. And Genus is a natural partner for us. The environmental movement has entered a period where many people are wondering how to divest from fossil fuels and “put their money where their mouth is.” Genus views the divestment of carbon intensive industries, and the shift to making impact through investment portfolios, as a social movement.
