The slaughter of buffalo to force Indigenous People onto reservations is an atrocity we must never forget. Brutal assimilation tactics and oppression of Indigenous communities has nearly annihilated the very elders and knowledge keepers who can teach us how to live in reciprocity with nature. Now is the time to practice deep listening, cultivate humility and move forward with gentleness and gratitude. For future generations, we must meet the moment.
