To protect and recover Ontario’s species at risk, the Ministry of Natural Resources must take responsibility for the oversight of habitat protection.

These comments from the David Suzuki Foundation are in regards to proposed approaches to the implementation of Ontario’s Endangered Species Act that could include regulatory amendments to authorize activities to occur, subject to conditions set out in regulation, that are consistent with the Ministry of Natural Resource’s Modernization of Approvals.
