Thank you for your interest in taking action on plastics. This action is now closed.
More than 6,000 people sent letters to Canada’s minister of environment and climate change asking for a comprehensive ban on non-essential, single-use plastics NOW. The real response will come after the federal election. Will Canada move forward with the promised ban and promote a shift to zero-waste systems?
With your support, the David Suzuki Foundation will continue its advocacy on this important issue with Canada’s next government.
In the meantime, don’t forget to vote on October 21!
Register to vote with Elections Canada. Ask candidates in your riding what action they would take to stop plastic pollution. Let’s elect MPs who will take bold action, including a comprehensive ban on non-essential, single-use plastics.
Have you taken the Zero Waste Pledge? Make your commitment to give up single-use plastics now and help spread the word!
