This document outlines the methods used to identify high biodiversity areas in Ált’ka7tsem/Howe Sound and has an accompanying map book that shows the areas of high ecological value identified through the process.

Upon running our Marxan computer modelling analysis, we identified approximately 43 areas of high ecological value in Átl’ka7tsem/Howe Sound. These areas predominantly occur along shorelines and in shallow (<30 m) waters.
