The Pacific North Coast of B.C. has served as a key corridor for the transportation of goods, services and people for more than 5,000 years. Industrial and human activities, however, have a profound impact on both the marine environment and the economy here.
This report aims to assist conservation efforts in the Pacific Northwest by assessing the pollution impacts of the shipping sector, as well as offering area-based recommendations for the integrated management of the region.
