EXECUTIVE SUMMARY — Clearing the Air: A Preliminary Analysis of Air Quality Co-Benefits from Reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Canada

This is the executive summary of a study that demonstrates that measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions have the potential for significant health and economic co-benefits. In the study, six measures were chosen from Canadian Solutions and reports from the National Climate Change Process Issues Tables. The analysis showed that as much as $2.2 billion every year in health and environmental damages could be avoided by instituting these six measures alone.
