In the absence of effective policies from Canada’s federal government to tackle global warming, many provinces have stepped up to implement their own plans and policies. Provincial Power Play: Breaking Away from Federal Inaction on Climate Change documents this shift, assessing each province’s climate change plans and programs and comparing the relative merits of each. With a few notable exceptions, provinces are moving forward with more ambitious targets and stronger policies than those of the federal government.
