Rockfish Conservation Areas are fisheries closures intended to be refuges for the diversity of rockfish in B.C.’s oceans. But are they working? This technical report examines the reasons for — and potential of — Rockfish Conservation Areas; summarizes studies about their effectiveness; and describes the research and outreach needed for them to work better.
